Hospice of the Chesapeake is currently seeking dedicated and compassionate volunteers to assist our administrative department by providing receptionist and general secretarial support at our Pasadena office. Everyday tasks include answering calls, greeting visitors, and providing clerical/administrative assistance as needed.

Any training required will occur on site with staff members. Our office is open 8:00 am to 4:30pm Monday through Friday.  At this time, we are seeking volunteers to fill the 9:00am – 11:00am, 11:00am – 1:00pm, and 1:00pm – 3:00pm time slots during the week.  Although we generally request a minimum of 4 hours a week for administrative volunteers, we are willing to be flexible with your schedule preferences.
At Hospice of the Chesapeake, our overarching mission is to care for life throughout the journey with illness and loss by providing physical, psycho-social, and spiritual support services to individuals living with and affected by advanced illness. As a fully licensed, community-based non-profit organization, we provide services to those in need at the place that they call home - regardless of their age or ability to pay.  An integral component of this team-oriented, holistic approach is our Hospice Volunteer Team, who consistently serves above and beyond to support our hospice patients and their families.  Hospice Volunteers are one of the few who can make a true difference in someone’s life by offering a small portion of their time, energy, and skills. We are always on the lookout for such dedicated, compassionate individuals to join our dynamic Volunteer Team.
