AMERICAN RED CROSS SOUTHERN MARYLAND -- BOARD MEMBER/COMMITTEE MEMBER
The American Red Cross Southern Maryland provides life saving services in Anne Arundel, Charles, St. Mary's, and Calvert counties that include emergency disaster relief to local families and emotional and financial support to military families. In addition, they offer life-saving training courses and collect and distribute blood and blood products.
The Southern Maryland Chapter is seeking interested individuals to join its Board of Directors. The time commitment is not that large (5-6 hours per month) but the reward is great. Are you the right person? Will you dive in and become knowledgeable about the great programs that the Red Cross offers, and then become an ambassador, spreading awareness and expanding its outreach.
As Board Member, in addition to providing community support as a business advisor in its quarterly meetings, the Southern Maryland Chapter hopes that you will join one of its four key committees -- Philanthropy, Volunteer and Mission Capacity Building, Community Outreach, and Board Development and Engagement. Each committee not only needs your help but offers meaningful engagement and resume building opportunities.
While there is always the need for Board Members to support fundraising, the Southern Maryland Chapter is primarily looking for networking support. The paid staff will do the heavy lifting of the "big ask."
