Havana Nights Event Help
Provide special event support for the 2018 Havana Nights annual fundraiser event to be held on Saturday, September 15 at the Byzantium in Annapolis. Volunteer positions range from tasks one week prior to the event, same day event set up, and during the event.
We especially welcome volunteers who have general administrative skills or event experience, are customer service oriented. And volunteers who are supportive of our mission to improve the lives of children, adults (including Veterans) and families impacted by mental health and substance use disorders.
The time commitment is a few hrs 1 week prior to Sept 15 or or 3-5 hrs the day of event. A brief summary of the tasks and time frames is below:
Morning of event:
10-11:00am: Packing everything up for the event
11-11:30am: Transporting items
11:30-12pm Unloading materials at Byzantium
12-3pm prior to event: Decorating and set up of room, tables, and activity stations.
5-8pm: Running activities such as registration, raffle table and monitoring silent auction tables
8pm - 10pm Helping to close out the silent auction and registration, verifying winners, bid collating, accepting payment from winners and picking up auction items.
After event clean-up
10:30 to 11pm. Includes gathering decorations, loading materials, returning items to ALI, unloading, etc.
